We offer skip bins in a range of sizes, from 1.5m3 to 25m3, to accommodate the needs of different projects and waste volumes.
How many meters is a skip?
The size of the skip will depend on the specific Marrell or Hook bin you choose. ACE Skips & Wastes offers skip bins ranging from 1.5m3 to 25m3 in size.
Can a skip be overloaded?
Our bins are clearly marked with a “DO NOT FILL PAST THIS LINE” which users must not exceed. Overfilled bins may result in additional hire, removal of excess rubbish, or potential additional fees.
What is the smallest skip you can hire?
Our smallest skip bin is 1.5m3, AKA the Mini Skip.
What happens if a skip is too full?
Transporting overloaded skip bins is illegal. The customer will be given the choice of removing the excess rubbish or hiring another skip bin.
What happens with a skip when full?
First, the customer notifies Ace Skips & Waste that the skip bin is full and ready for collection. Then, ACE Skips & Waste schedules the collection of the full skip bin. Third, collection personnel and vehicle are dispatched to the customer's location on the scheduled collection day. Lastly, the collection personnel load the full skip bin onto the collection vehicle safely and efficiently.

Can you put food waste in a skip?
Yes, our skip bins can accommodate all kinds of food waste!
Can electrical cables go in a skip?
Yes, electrical cables can be disposed of in our skip bins however, as it generally isn’t recommended it will be operated from other general waste and recycled.
Can asbestos go in a skip?
No, we do not handle hazardous waste such as asbestos. Please contact your local council for assistance.
Can batteries go in a skip?
Lithium-ion batteries should not be placed into household waste bins or recycling bins, as they can cause fires during waste collection, transportation, handling and processing. Undamaged batteries (not swollen, punctured, or leaking, etc.) can be safely disposed of at a battery recycling drop off point.
Can you fill a skip with soil?
To ensure safe and efficient transportation, skip bins should not be filled with soil (and any other waste) above the rim. This guideline is in place to maintain stability during transportation, adhere to weight limitations, and comply with legal requirements.
